Marks Gibsons 120th year in guitar building – the V has only been around for 60 years. This is one fine Flying V 120, made to vintage specs with select mahogany body, with the crazy angles of the original. It features the fast slim profile that so most people prefer, with a bound one-piece Grade-A rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. The bound neck has frets that extend over the binding to allow for a wider feeling neck. Also has the traditional arrowhead headstock Gibson logo on the truss-rod cover plus a commemorative “120th Anniversary” banner at the 12th fret. Electronics include Alnico V Burst Bucker Pro Rhythm and Lead pickups with individual volume controls and a master tone. Its chrome hardware includes a Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece, with Grover Kidney Button tuners for smooth, perfect tuning. It was offered in Ebony, White, and this Heritage Cherry, finished in high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer. You’re going to pay $1649 for a new 2018 Flying V and they have an unbound neck.
