Linear Power Booster. It’s as if you had 20 sets of pick-ups all in one guitar…can make your amplifier TEN times louder… These are the claims used in advertising on the LPB’s back in the 70’s (see ad here). While these might be an exaggeration, the LPB-2 can be used effectively to overdrive the front end of your amp, giving it thicker, hotter tone, or as a boost pedal for leads. This is one of the cleaner examples of a 70’s LPB I’ve had and a very useable pedal, even for today’s guitar rigs, for $79.
