It preserves your guitar’s tone while adding more headroom than other comps as well as EQ control and a parallel “dirt” circuit to add in some overdrive when you want it. With gobs of headroom, it can also handle duties as your clean boost. It also has a DI out so you can run right into a mixer, front of house, or recording console. A Blend control adds your unaffected signal back into the mix while an internal switch on the side lets you choose True Bypass or a buffered signal if you’re going to be pushing a lot of pedals with it.
